Nancy’s Peak Trail Upgrades

Building on the success of the Castle Rock trail upgrades we successfully won a further contract to extend the same quality and care to the Nancy’s Peak trail, accessible from the Tree in the Rock carpark in the Porongurup National Park. Over 1,100 new stone steps were constructed using locally sourced granite in order to improve drainage, trail accessibility and overall integrity.

Methodologies were again adapted to suit the terrain and accessibility, whilst adhering to construction standards. Helicopter air-lifting services were effectively engaged with well organised delivery plans which resulted in minimal interruptions to the general public. The team built all weather shelters to ensure the rain didn’t slow progress down. The team honed their skills and perfected a natural aesthetic that blends almost seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

Another large project spanning nearly 18 months on and off with fantastic outcomes for the clients, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the general public who will reap the benefits of durability and beauty that stonework brings to trails. (December 2023)
